**The values indicated on this guide are based on the 1988 Anthropometric Survey of the U.S. Army Personnel databses. Some are estimated or derived without using clothing allowances. A minimum chair height of 15" is shown. Assuming shoes require an additional 1" this yields a minimum chair height of 16" (an industry standard). Additional considerations may apply. Consult with an ergonomist for guidance.
